Colorado River

Report

Colorado River
The Colorado has very little open water from Pumphouse to Glenwood.  Fishing from Glenwood downstream is very good with the great weather.  Water temps nearing the 40's.  Midges and BWO's coming off in good numbers.  Most anglers having success nymphing small midge patterns, stoneflies, BWO emergers, and eggs.  The Colorado below Glenwood is an excellent destination this time of year.

River Description
The Colorado river flows from it's origin at Rocky Mountain Park through Kremmling working it's way west to the ocean. We float the stretches from below Gore Canyon to the Town of Rifle. These areas seem to have the most productive Trout waters and provide miles of excellent dry fly fishing during the summer months.
